Sanjaya Malakar is following in the footsteps of Kevin Federline, Fabio and MC Hammer and poking fun at himself as part of the new Nationwide Insurance “Life Comes at You Fast” campaign.

Sporting various hair raising hairstyles similar to the ones he made famous on American Idol - Season 6, Sanjaya visits India seeking advice from a wise man who tells him he needs a retirement plan and a haircut.

Along with the new ad, Nationwide launched a new user generated content microsite at sanjaya-ize.com that allows visitors to the site to upload a photo of themselves and then mix and match Sanjaya’s hairstyles and outfits to create the Nationwide Sanjaya widget.

I tried the Sanjaya widget out and have posted some screen shots of what happened along the way. Be careful, as you have been warned.
