With October marking breast cancer awareness month, Estee Lauder Company has teamed up with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation to present a user-generated content (UGC) photo mosaic that will resemble the iconic pink ribbon that marks support for the disease.
The World Pink Mosaic asks the participants join the fight against breast cancer by raising awareness through participation with this online community effort. Supporters of the mosaic can go online and upload a photo of themselves or their loved ones using the Entry Editor. Participants can select from three different photo frames that best reflect their experience including survivor, supporter or touched.
Photos may also include names and region, as well if you chose to you may add a brief description of your experience. All photos will be added to the Breast Cancer Awareness Gallery and the World Pink Mosaic where it will be viewed and shared globally.
The campaign will run for the entire month of October and hopes to raise funds and support by increasing people’s knowledge of the disease, the importance in getting a mammogram every two years and offering an easy place to donate.
With the help of celebrity spokesperson Elizabeth Hurley, the Estee Lauder Company is using Brickfish’s social media marketing solution platform to encourage everyone to get involved.
