With many of the world’s leaders coming together in less than a month, at the climate change conference in Copenhagen, the digital world has seen a lot of cause marketing surrounding the subject. The Raise Your Voice campaign is a chance for the rest of the world to make their own contribution.

The Raise Your Voice campaign is sponsored by CNN, YouTube and the Danish government and encourages individuals to send in a personalized video with their views, opinions and questions about the conference.

Participants can upload their video by visiting the Cop 15 channel on YouTube and linking to something they have already uploaded on the site or by entering a new video.

Visitors to the site can also search through previously uploaded videos to view, comment and vote for their favourite entries. Participants must sign up for an account to be able to vote and can then simply click the thumbs up or thumbs down based on their opinion.

The site also features a few nice applications such as a search service. Visitors can search for a specific entry based on the video itself or the country the video has been entered from. The channel also features a countdown clock to the conference date.

Entries will be judged based on thoughtfulness, creativity and the entrants who are simply being themselves, according to the website. “Global warming effects people differently in different parts of the globe. Ask the questions that matter to you, your family and your community.”

Submissions may be aired in front of world leaders and decision makers in the CNN/YouTube debate on climate change on December 15, 2009. Two videos will be selected as the grand prize winners and will receive two tickets for you and a friend to Copenhagen during the conference for four days, including accommodations.
