The Hershey Company has recently launched a user-generated content (UGC) contest to promote their new product the Bliss White Chocolate with a meltaway center and to help connect women nationwide.

The national competition is called Share the Bliss which is based on the national bestselling book, The Necklace written by Cheryl Jarvis. The book is about a woman who sees a diamond necklace in a store window and wonders why personal luxuries are so plentiful yet accessible to so few. After much work the woman and dozens of friends purchase the necklace together, to be passed along among them all.

The Share the Bliss contest follows a similar plot line and asks participants to submit a 150 word essay that answers the question: Why you would like to experience bliss through sharing the 16 ct. Hershey Bliss diamond necklace.

Participants can enter their submissions online at the contest website. The contest ends tomorrow - so this is your last chance to get a turn with the necklace. Submissions are judged based on there relevance to the essay topic, creativity and originality.

One essay will be selected for each of the five entry periods to wear the Hershey Bliss 16 ct. diamond necklace for a 14 day period, one paperback copy of The Necklace and two bags of Hershey Bliss candies.

Each of the five winners will also be given the opportunity to travel to New York City to attend the Young Survival Coalitions In Living Pink event, an organization dedicated to breast cancer issues.
