Everyone has already started counting down until the holidays and is looking for ways to make this year even better than the last. That’s why Style at Home has recently launched its online user-generated Holiday Countdown Contest, to find out your best holiday tips.

The contest is open to Canadian residents over the age of 18. Participants can register online and create an account on the contest homepage. Entrants will be required to submit and online entry form, along with an optional photograph and description.

The contest is looking for tips in one of three categories and should answer one of the following questions: What’s your best holiday entertaining tip?, What’s your best holiday organizing tip? or What’s your best holiday decorating tip?

They Style at Home Holiday Countdown contest is being powered by a user-generated content (UGC) contest application developed by Filemobile, a Toronto based provider of industry leading rich social media applications which recently opened a new office in New York City.

Submissions will be excepted until December 17, 2009 with winners being announced on December 18, 2009. A grand prize winner will be announced for each category.

The winner of the entertainment prize will receive a Palm Pre, “a phone so in sync with your life it feels like it’s thinking ahead for you.” The winner of the organization prize will receive a Flip Video MinoHD, “the ultimate accessory for the social networking generation.” And the winner of the decorating prize will receive a Dell Mini 10v, “everything you want in a mobile companion and more.”
