iReporters challenged to review 2009
December 20th, 2009 (7:35am) Alisha Paul
CNN’s user-generated news community, iReport will be incorporating an interactive challenge to its reporters to take a look at the year’s milestones in areas that may have effected their own lives in a 2009 year review called 365 days in 30 seconds.
The challenge will ask participants who aren’t already community members to sign up as iReporters and create a 30 second video looking back on 2009. Submissions should include how the past year went for you and a view of the most important events, news and milestones from your life.
Participants can use home video or photos that they have from the past year. The montage does however need to be in video format and should be submitted to CNN iReport by December 21, 2009.
For this New Year’s Eve live coverage, CNN host Anderson Cooper will be celebrating in New York City’s Times Square from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (EST) with co-host Kathy Griffin. The show will include CNN anchors and correspondents from around the world providing reports on the ongoing celebrations.
Others joining the lineup will include entertainer Lance Bass, White House correspondent Ed Henry, co-host of ABC’s The View Joy Behar, economist and actor Ben Stein, comedian and actress Margaret Cho among many more.
Submissions for the 365 days in 30 seconds video challenge may be selected to air live on television as a part of CNN’s coverage and its New Year’s Eve special.
