Pet lovers across Canada finally have a place to share all of those cute pictures of their pets getting tangled in yarn or snuggling on the couch. Canadian Living, a property of Transcontinental Media G.P., is now hosting its second annual Most Lovable Pet photo and video contest.

Owners can enter the contest by entering a photo or video of their pets into one of three categories; dog, cat or other. As well, participants will need to submit an entry form to the contest website or via mail.

Submissions will be accepted by mail until Wednesday March 24, 2010 and the deadline for online submissions is Wednesday March 31, 2010.

On Thursday April 1, 2010 Canadian Living’s Most Lovable Pet Contest will open for public voting online. Participants and visitors will be able to view photos and videos from all categories. Viewers can vote on their favourites, leave comments and share them with friends online.

After the public voting period ends on April 30, 2010 a Canadian Living panel of judges will select six winners based on the contest criteria of; number of votes received, the suitability of the entries, and the quality of the entries submitted.

The contest is using Filemobile’s user-generated content (UGC) contest application in order to create a user friendly environment for files to be shared.

On May 4, 2010 Canadian Living will announce the six grand prize winners of the Most Lovable Pet Contest who will each receive $800 CDN. If you think your pet is the most lovable in Canada leave us a note and we’ll check you out on the contest homepage.
