NASCAR fans will have a chance to put their name in the spotlight by getting their signature on driver Tony Stewart’s car through a new Burger King promotion.

The popular fast food chain is taping into the mass appeal of racecar driving by allowing consumers to submit their personal signatures to have a chance to have it placed on top of the Burger King logo that will appear on the hood of Stewart’s number 14 car.

Participants can visit the Sign & Race promotional website to use the contest application to sign their name and submit it to the logo. Visitors will be able to zoom in on the logo and see how their signature and others will appear and share that image with their friends via social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Fans will see the autographed logo at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coke Zero 400 race on July 3, 2010. Burger King will auction off the hood of the car from June 28 to July 7, also on the website.

All proceeds from the Sign & Race auction will go toward the support of the company’s Have it Your Way Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to communities around the world.
