People are always looking to stand out amongst the pack and the new Kia Soul is a car that definitely doesn’t look like every other. No matter where you’re going, Kia believes that there is always a better way to get there and want fans to show off their new way to roll.

The user-generated content (UGC) contest A New Way to Roll is a partnership between Kia and some of the biggest YouTube personalities to find out who will be the next Internet star.

Participants can upload a video showing how they roll through the Kia contest website or the Facebook application page. All you have to do is create your video entry and submit it to Kia’s YouTube page.

All submissions are due by August 8, 2010 and will see a panel of judges including YouTube stars, ShayCarl, Ian and Anthony of SMOSH and Lisa Nova. The top eight videos will be chosen based on their potential for virility, production quality, originality, potential for enduring in popularity and effective depiction of the theme.

Those eight videos will then be featured on the Kia YouTube page where online voting will begin. Fans can visit the page to vote for their favourite videos and rate them. The top four videos from online voting will move to the next round.

A similar public vote will be conducted to narrow the field down to two contestants and then the grand prize winner. One grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and a trip for two to Los Angeles to attend a taping and appear in a video for Internet promotion.
