For the first time ever, PBS’s American Experience will be launching a new documentary through the social networking platform Facebook. The move is an innovative attempt to engage a new audience and solicit feedback from viewers in a way that television does not normally allow.

“It’s such a distancing medium that we work in, in television,” said American Experience executive producer Mark Samels. “You put all this work into something, and then it goes into this black hole, the ether.” (more…)

The mood was incredible, the atmosphere was happy, the random outbursts of the singing of Oh Canada was inspiring. It was truly an incredible experience.

The time on the street where the crowd is the biggest near the end of the video is immediately after Canada’s victory over Russia in Olympic hockey.

The second half of my drive to my sister’s - Calgary to Mission. The happy part of the day refers to the time before Canada lost to the USA in Olympic hockey. We stopped to watch the game in Kamloops, B.C. The mood changed for the worse after that and I thought it best not to show myself in that light.

But, I’m here now, I’m safe so that’s what matters most.

This blog was created to document my move from Winnipeg to Toronto. I feel a video like this does a lot to help people see who I am as a person, what makes me tick. I firmly believe that without an understanding of me as a person no one will care that I’m moving to Toronto or that I’m leaving Winnipeg.

This is short video of snowboarding on the prairies with my buddy Payton. I was thinking of making a video that really showcased my prowess on a snowboard but this seemed to make more sense. I feel anyone can enjoy this short video not just people who ride.

This is a big part of who I am as a person, I love to ride in the winter and I love to skateboard in the summer. I love finding something that no one has tried before or thought of trying. Let me know if you skate, I’m always up for session come summer.

National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) and communications agency Zulu Alpha Kilo have just launched a provocative campaign on the heels of Eating Disorder Awareness Week in Canada.
