Doritos offers 5 million for Super Bowl XLIV ads

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Doritos has upped the ante on its 2010 Crash the Super Bowl user-generated content (UGC) campaign. Last year saw Joe and Dave Herbert win one million dollars with their commercial titled, Free Doritos or what many online viewers were calling the Crystal Ball commercial.

Beginning on September 21, participants will be able to submit their video entries to the contest website. Ideas can be action packed or funny as the creative is entirely your own. The commercial should obviously feature the Doritos brand and if selected could be aired on national television.

Six finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges. Their submissions will be selected for scoring the highest in three areas; originality and creativity, adherence to the creative assignment and overall appeal. Those six will each win $25,000. Visitors will then vote for the top three commercials to air as a Doritos brand commercial during Super Bowl XLIV. (more…)
