Coke Zero sponsors interactive interviews with Colbert

Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s Colbert Report is posing a series of challenges to his fans through the website ColbertNation.com. The American cable and satellite channel is launching a new social media application that aims to engage the already interactive fan base.

“Our fans are incredibly active, and constantly submit their own high-tech videos. But what about the person who doesn’t have editing software of six kids and not enough time? How do we get them involved?” said Rachel Maceiras, senior producer for Comedy Central Digital Media. (more…)

Coke Zero Tastes March Madness with NCAA

Coke Zero has joined with the NCAA men’s basketball championship to host an online video contest for fans. The Taste the Madness site challenges fans to prove their devotion by uploading videos of them cheering for their teams to the “March Madabase.” The NCAA men’s basketball 64 team tournament begins in early March.

The winners of the contest will have their video aired before the tip off of the division one championship game on April 6.

The contest was launched earlier this week and the video posts and votes have started to pour in. Crispin Porter + Bogusky developed the campaign for Coke Zero. Coca-Cola has been the main sponsor of the tournament for the last 12 years. ICUC Moderation Service will handle the content moderation through the Taste the Madness website. (more…)
