Schwarzkopf, the Henkel-owned haircare brand, is sourcing out its own PR guinea pigs through YouTube video blogger Birdboy7227. The American user, whose real name is Richard Povian, posted a video on YouTube of how he creates a Mohawk hair style using Schwarzkopf’s product Got2b Glued extreme hair gel.

Since coming to the company’s attention, Schwarzkopf signed Birdboy7227 and flew him from the US to the UK to front a series of marketing and PR stunts that will use social media. (more…)
