Tic Tac causing a small fun revolution with social media

The Vancouver-based advertising agency Noise Digital has launched a new digital campaign aimed at engaging young Canadians to share in the Tic Tac Small Fun Revolution for Ferrero Canada, by uploading user-generated content (UGC) that features the small breath fresheners or their boxes.

The cross-country search is looking for Tic Tac brand ambassadors through multiple channels including a microsite, www.tictacsmallfun.ca, a branded YouTube channel, a Facebook fan page, Twitter, display advertising and two iPhone applications. (more…)

#pepsifail backlash for controversial AMP Energy app

PepsiCo has pulled the plug on an iPhone application that it launched earlier this month for its AMP Energy brand after a week of criticism on various social media sites from fans that say the marketing effort was sexist.

Social media is not only a powerful tool for marketers but in its truest form it is a tool for the people. Fans spoke their minds about the Amp Up Before You Score application through well-known networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. (more…)
