How can this be? Well by definition a brand is what happens when enough people think and feel the same thing about a product, service, or organization.

Facebook changed its ‘become a fan’ button to a ‘like’ button last month giving the platform more access to important data that brand managers and marketers will certainly want to get their hands on. The business effort makes all information social by default - as with any changes to Facebooks’ privacy policies.
