German beer maker, Beck’s has been committed to producing one of the finest beers in the world since its creation in 1873. Its brand is a symbol of independent thinking and self expression, and it has refused to follow fads. Even today.

In March 2010, Beck’s will be launching a new packaging label on its bottles and cans globally. The new look has changed subtly over the years, demonstrating that it is a brand that remains true to the values it promotes.

To support the global launch Beck’s has introduced a viral video competition through the Poptent community to give fans a chance to promote their favourite beer in a hip and entertaining way. (more…)

42BELOW Vodka leaves U.S. launch to fans

The award-winning premiere spirit from New Zealand, 42BELOW Vodka is launching its brand into the US market with a 42 second viral video that it is leaving up to its fans to create through the Poptent community.

42BELOW Vodka was created by Geoff Ross, a former executive for Saatchi & Saatchi who was inspired after seeing an ad for an American vodka while on a long-haul flight from L.A. to Wellington, New Zealand. Distilled out of his basement, Ross sold his first bottle from the trunk of his car in 1998. (more…)

In its first ever Canadian assignment, creative community Poptent is joining forces with ice cream giant Ben & Jerry’s for a tasty user-generated content (UGC) video advertisement contest that will make customers drool.
