In 1995 the American Heart Association (AHA), the nation’s leader in heart health, made healthy living a lot easier with the heart check mark. The small, but iconic logo helps shoppers quickly and easily choose heart healthy foods in the grocery store.

The heart check mark assures shoppers that foods with this logo on their packaging are certified to meet American Heart Association criteria for saturated fat and cholesterol. The symbol is the only one independently backed by the expertise and reputation of the AHA.

In order to better convince consumers to proactively look for this symbol while shopping and raise awareness and drive traffic to the AHA’s website, they are hosting the Heart-Check Mark contest with the help of Poptent’s creative community. (more…)
