What is the real worth of a Facebook fan?

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Digital consulting firm Syncapse and research company Hotspex have come up with an empirical formula that puts an average value of $136.38 on the Facebook fans of the site’s 20 biggest corporate brands.

The value of a brand fan was split into four different categories with the highest value coming from how much fans will spend on a brand and their loyalty to the brand. Other value comes from recommendations and earned media value. The total is then offset for the cost to acquire a fan. (more…)

The Inside Scoop: Part 1 Social Media Moderation

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

ICUC Moderation Services is beginning a new piece that will appear monthly on the Snoo.ws blog called The Inside Scoop. Since our company offers such a unique culture and community to its employees we thought we would share a little bit more about what our staff is up to and who they are.

First up is Trina Alexander, Content and Community Specialist in our social media moderation division. New contest employs very familiar strategy, its own: Brickfish

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Social media marketing group Brickfish’s latest contest is not for a client or a brand but strictly an exercise in self promotion. The 4 Elements contest asks people to upload creative interpretations of the four elements: earth, air, water
and fire. Brickfish is accepting a wider range of entries than it has in the past for client’s campaigns. This contest is welcoming photography, drawings, illustrations, paintings, digital art and even sculptures – all submitted using a photograph of the art of course. (more…)
