Fox and MySpace are helping The Simpsons celebrate its 20th anniversary with a contest that asks users to create their own “couch gag.”
The couch gag has been a staple of The Simpsons 20 year run. It happens at the end of each episode’s intro and is often satirical or a play on pop culture. The makers of the show have consistently created new and entertaining gags every week for the entire life of the show.
The contest asks for live action submissions to be uploaded onto the MySpace. The entries will then be judged by a panel that includes the producers of the show. The winner will win a trip to Los Angeles to attend the 20th anniversary party and a home theater system. Fox has provided the music on the MySpace page along with contest details. The winner will be announced June 22. (more…)
