Does size really matter? Purina dog food’s Incredibites, is celebrating small dogs everywhere with a new user-generated content (UGC) contest that will have your small dog showing off the incredible things it can do.
Through the companies YouTube page participants who own small dogs are encouraged to grab their video cameras and try to capture it all on film. (more…)

As companies move more into the social realm, and promote their Twitter handles, Facebook fan pages and YouTube accounts many marketers are asking themselves where does that leave the company website.
For years we worried about ownership and collecting all the domain names associated with our businesses. Today, more campaigns are centered around social networks leaving websites with an entirely new role.
Brand websites are not going anywhere, their purpose has just changed. Marketers need to start thinking of this hub as the brain. (more…)

Director Ridley Scott and LG are sponsoring a global user-generated content (UGC) project documenting the lives of 6.7 billion people on earth in a new Google YouTube undertaking called Life in a Day.
The project was launched in early July 2010 and has received 80,000 video submissions from roughly 197 different countries. While the entry period has come to a close the project is really just beginning as it enters the editing stage. (more…)

YouTube Play is a brand new collaboration between YouTube and the Guggenheim Museum. Both agree that no other medium is pushing boundaries of creativity the same way that video does, and now want to showcase the most remarkable online work from around the world.
The collaboration gives the world renown museum a chance to explore digital media and see how it functions or if it functions. As well, both parties are interested to see what can come of the possibility that digital brings to creation. (more…)
